UPSAHL is a dynamic artist known for her ability to ignite a party while delivering raw, honest truths, all with a punk rock spirit. Since her breakout viral hit ‘Drugs’ in 2020, the Phoenix, Arizona native has established herself as a versatile and prolific talent. Following the release of her bold 2021 debut album ‘Lady Jesus,’ she dropped four EPs and a series of sharp singles that capture her journey into adulthood through punchy, radio-ready pop infused with diverse influences. With songwriting credits for major artists like Dua Lipa, Madison Beer, Demi Lovato, Reneé Rapp, and Dove Cameron, UPSAHL has cultivated a distinct and compelling alternative edge.

UPSAHL’s latest track, ‘Tears on the Dancefloor,’ marks a standout moment in her evolving sound, blending emotional depth with infectious energy. This ear-catching single draws inspiration from her love of Timbaland-era Nelly Furtado, as UPSAHL delivers sultry, husky vocals that seamlessly soar into higher registers. The song captures the liberating moment when heartbreak fades and you begin to feel like yourself again. The accompanying music video, a nod to the iconic opening scene from “Blade” (1998), pulses with energy on a crowded dance floor, amplifying the track’s intense and electrifying vibe.

Reflecting on the song, UPSAHL shares: ‘Tears On The Dancefloor’ is about feeling mysterious, while vulnerable and emotional at the same time. It was inspired by those nights out that sometimes end in tears - to be honest, that shit feels like free therapy. When we made this song, we had been listening to a lot of Nelly Furtado, so the production was heavily inspired by Timbaland and the overall vibe of the early 2000s. These are my favorite types of songs, the ones that are secretly kind of sad, but can still be played at the afterparty.”

Earlier this summer, UPSAHL dropped her sultry anthem, ‘Summer So Hot’, a track tailor-made for poolside speakers and warm, sunny days. Featuring breezy vocals, sharp breath control, and rapid-fire lyrical verses, the song is driven by an electro-infused bassline that keeps the energy high. The accompanying music video, shifting between a lively poolside dance party and a steamy, intimate shoot indoors, captures the essence of a typical summer hangout amid scorching heat.

When speaking about ‘Summer So Hot’, UPSAHL says: “I wrote ‘Summer So Hot’ in the middle of winter in London. I was feeling nostalgic for that perfect summer day where all fucks fly out the window, you’re just being present with friends, and escaping to wherever the day takes you.”

Oceans On Orion, the genre-bending modern metal band based in Tel Aviv, Israel, continues to forge bold new creative paths with their latest release—a striking reimagining of Linkin Park’s emotionally charged anthem, “Breaking the Habit.” Rather than simply recreating the original, the band reconstructs it with intensity and purpose. Featuring the haunting and expressive guest vocals of Israeli singer-songwriter Danny Ly Ziser, this version transforms the song into something deeply personal and sonically powerful.

Layering the original’s emotional depth with crushing djent-style riffs, punchy nu-metal grooves, and a cyberpunk visual aesthetic, Oceans On Orion redefines what it means to honor a classic while reshaping it into something bold and new. From the first frames of the video, viewers are plunged into a dystopian landscape—marked by decaying backdrops and glitch effects—that powerfully mirrors the emotional chaos and introspection at the heart of the song’s lyrics.
